Education in Kibera

* Help The Raila Education Centre, where the unit base for the film was situated. The area around the centre has been graded, creating a large area for the children to play in, and eventually a large market garden will be created for the children to begin to learn about horticulture, self-sufficiency and the benefit of vegetables and fruit to their health.

* Help the PAG primary school, where we have provided some of the workers in Kibera with the funds to build two new classrooms for the pupils here, each with space for 30 children. Previously all the pupils were squashed into a tiny, dark room, sharing one desk between 4 or 5. They now have two large, airy classrooms, and are delighted with their new learning space.

With the help of your donation we can continue to help schools such as the PAG primary and the Raila Education Centre, who desperately need our help to improve classrooms sanitation levels on site as well as provide books and basic teaching materials.

We can also continue with our program of building shower and toilet blocks and work with others to use our experience to encourage and support more of these projects around the slum.
