| Loiyangalani | Kibera | KiberaKibera is the largest slum in SubSaharan Africa - located in the centre of Nairobi, Kenya, and home to more than a million and a half Kenyans, although the actual number is hard to calculate. Kibera has little to no sanitation and life is for most incredibly hard. This was the other key location on the film, where Rachel Weisz can be seen walking through the small pathways through the area, as the children chorus the refrain of ‘How Are You?’. We realised very quickly that our core aims - water, sanitation and education - were what we could best concentrate on, and we could very easily achieve a lot with very little money. |
